Only POST is bigger: Mixvoip grows its share of Luxembourg business telephony

According to the latest figures from the ILR (Institut Luxembourgeois de Régulation), Mixvoip's share of the business fixed telephony market in Luxembourg grew from 4.7% on 31 December 2024 to 5.2% on 31 December 2025. Only POST Luxembourg holds a larger share, with 79.7%.
The ILR oversees competition in Luxembourg's telecom market and publishes market data twice a year, giving businesses a public view of the market. Its dashboard does not state whether market shares are based on lines, minutes or revenue.
The same ILR figures show how fast businesses are leaving traditional copper lines. In the second half of 2025, business PSTN lines fell by 52.8%, while VoBB (voice over broadband) lines rose by 23.4%. By the end of 2025, VoBB made up about 83% of business fixed telephony connections in Luxembourg, up from about 59% a year earlier (calculated from ILR figures).

We help companies make this move in three ways. Our SIP trunk connects an existing phone system to the internet, with certified systems such as Asterisk, 3CX, FreePBX and Microsoft Teams through Direct Routing. Voxbi, our cloud PBX, replaces the on-site phone system with desktop, web and mobile apps. And we port existing Luxembourg numbers, so customers can still reach a company on the same number.
Growing since 2008
Mixvoip was founded in Luxembourg in 2008 and today serves businesses from offices in Luxembourg, Belgium, Germany and France. You can also read last year's update. Thank you to our customers, partners and team for the trust behind this year's figures.
