About Mixvoip

We are Mixvoip, a vibrant Luxembourg-based company that provides Cloud Telephony, Smart Networking, High-Speed Internet services, and IT support to businesses.
We believe in offering our customers a fresh, practical, and reliable approach to technology. Our goal is simple: help companies work better, communicate better, and keep their IT environments stable, secure, and ready to grow.
That’s where you come in.

About the role

You will join Mixvoip’s IT Consulting team.
Our team supports and advises small and medium-sized businesses, usually between 20 and 200 employees. Some of our customers have an internal IT department. Others rely on us as their main IT partner. In both cases, we help them operate, secure, maintain, modernize, and improve their internal IT infrastructure.
This is a hands-on consulting role. You will work on a wide variety of environments: Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Entra ID, Windows servers, Linux systems, networks, firewalls, VPNs, virtualization platforms, storage, backup, endpoints, and customer-specific applications.
You will not spend your time managing only one platform or one internal infrastructure. You will work with different customers, different setups, different maturity levels, and different technical challenges. This means you need strong fundamentals, curiosity, structure, and the ability to troubleshoot methodically.
We also expect you to be comfortable with technical tools: using a terminal, reading logs, writing small scripts, automating repetitive tasks, and understanding how systems behave beyond the graphical interface.
You won’t be “thrown in alone”, but you are expected to take ownership of what you touch, communicate clearly with customers and colleagues, document your work, and improve things over time.

Key responsibilities

  • Support and advise customers on their internal IT infrastructure
  • Manage and troubleshoot Microsoft environments, including Active Directory, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, DNS, DHCP, GPOs, and Windows Server
  • Maintain and troubleshoot Linux systems when required
  • Use the command line to investigate issues, read logs, test connectivity, and operate systems efficiently
  • Support customer networks, including VLANs, routing, firewalls, VPNs, Wi-Fi, and switching
  • Work with technologies such as Sophos, Fortinet, MikroTik, Ubiquiti, and similar platforms
  • Help deploy, migrate, maintain, and troubleshoot virtualization environments such as VMware and Proxmox
  • Support storage and server infrastructure, including Dell servers, iSCSI, hyperconverged environments, and backup systems
  • Write small scripts or tools to automate repetitive tasks, improve operations, or simplify troubleshooting
  • Analyze customer needs and propose practical, reliable technical solutions
  • Participate in infrastructure projects, migrations, upgrades, and security improvements
  • Troubleshoot incidents and service requests in production environments
  • Communicate clearly with customers, both technical and non-technical
  • Document customer environments, procedures, changes, and recommendations
  • Work with the rest of the Mixvoip team to deliver reliable and high-quality IT services

What do we need from you?

  • Solid experience with Microsoft environments: Active Directory, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Windows Server
  • Good understanding of networking fundamentals: DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, routing, firewalling, switching, and Wi-Fi
  • Experience or strong interest in firewall and network platforms such as Sophos, Fortinet, MikroTik, Huawei, and Unifi/Omada
  • Basic Linux knowledge and confidence using a terminal, ability to read logs, use common command-line tools, and troubleshoot systems without relying only on graphical interfaces
  • Basic scripting or small programming skills, for example with PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar tools
  • An automation mindset: you naturally look for ways to simplify repetitive work
  • Comfortable working with different customers and many different technical environments
  • Ability to troubleshoot methodically and explain what you are doing
  • Good communication skills with customers and colleagues
  • Strong sense of responsibility
  • Good documentation habits
  • Ability to work in production environments where reliability matters
  • Professional proficiency in German and English
  • French and/or Luxembourgish are a strong plus
  • A broad IT mindset: you do not need to know everything, but you need to be able to learn, investigate, and move problems forward
  • Comfortable using AI coding tools, such as Codex/Claude, as part of daily work

What would make you stand out?

  • Certifications in Microsoft, Fortinet, Sophos, MikroTik, Ubiquiti, VMware, Dell, networking, security, Linux, or cloud technologies
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 migrations, tenant management, security, conditional access, or identity projects
  • Strong experience with Active Directory design, cleanup, migrations, GPOs, DNS, DHCP, and hybrid environments
  • Experience with VMware, Proxmox, Hyper-V, hyperconvergence, iSCSI, Ceph, or enterprise storage
  • Experience with Linux servers, shell scripting, SSH, logs, system services, and basic system administration
  • Experience with PowerShell, Bash, Python, APIs, or small internal tools
  • Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions
  • Experience with endpoint management, security hardening, antivirus/EDR, patching, and monitoring
  • Good understanding of IT security basics and best practices for SMEs
  • Experience supporting companies with 20 to 200 users
  • Ability to identify recurring problems and turn them into cleaner processes, scripts, automation, or better documentation
  • A consulting mindset: listening, explaining, prioritizing, and adapting to the customer’s reality

PS: Want to know who you’ll be working with? Meet me, Antoine CAVELIER

I’ve been with Mixvoip for 8 years, and my role is to help businesses make better use of their IT.
With the IT Consulting team, we support customers who often have very different realities. Some have an internal IT department and need a reliable technical partner. Others rely on us for almost everything related to their infrastructure, users, security, cloud services, networks, and day-to-day IT operations.
That variety is what makes this job interesting. One day, you may be working on Microsoft 365. Another day, you may be helping with virtualization, servers, storage, backups, Wi-Fi, Linux systems, scripts, migrations, or a customer project that does not fit neatly into one category.
I like people who are curious, structured, and honest about what they know and what they still need to learn. In consulting, nobody knows everything. What matters is the ability to understand the problem, ask the right questions, investigate properly, communicate clearly, and take ownership until things move forward.
I care a lot about practical solutions. Our customers are SMEs. They need systems that work, advice they can understand, and partners they can trust. Good consulting is not only about technical knowledge. It is also about listening, explaining, documenting, prioritizing, and staying calm when something goes wrong.
I also believe that modern IT work should make good use of the right tools, including AI. Not to replace thinking, but to speed up research, scripting, documentation, troubleshooting, and daily operations.
If you enjoy broad technical challenges, customer contact, autonomy, terminal work, small automation tasks, and the idea of helping many different businesses improve their IT step by step, then you could be a great fit for the team.
