Project background

LGL Transport was founded in 2015 and has grown significantly over the years. Mixvoip has been working with the company since its early development, accompanying the company as it expanded internationally.
Today the company operates from Luxembourg, Germany, Cameroon and Benin, coordinating logistics operations across several continents. For such operations, communication between dispatch teams, office staff and drivers is essential.

The challenges

As LGL expanded internationally, keeping everyone connected became increasingly important.
Drivers spend most of their time on the road, while dispatch teams work from different offices. Without the right system in place, reaching drivers would simply mean calling their mobile numbers every time, which is not very practical when managing daily logistics operations.
Another aspect was connecting offices across Europe and Africa, where network conditions can vary depending on location. Voice communication requires stable connections to maintain clear and reliable calls.

Mixvoip’s solution

Mixvoip deployed its Cloud PBX platform with Smart call routing, connecting all LGL offices into a single phone system. Employees in Luxembourg, Germany, Cameroon and Benin can communicate using internal extensions regardless of where they are located, which simplifies coordination between teams.
A key part of the setup is the fixed-mobile convergence integration based on our multiplatform softphone. Drivers remain reachable on their mobile phones through internal extensions, just like office employees. Dispatch teams can therefore contact drivers directly through the phone system they already use every day. For a logistics company where timing matters, this makes communication much simpler.
To maintain consistent call quality, Mixvoip installed an Indrasek router. The router prioritises voice traffic through QoS, ensuring that phone calls remain stable even when the internet connection is used for other business applications. It also allows secure remote access, enabling Mixvoip engineers to monitor the system and resolve potential issues remotely.
LGL also uses our secure call recording feature. This allows the team to review conversations when needed and is also useful for training new employees and maintaining a consistent level of service.
