  • January 2008 – The idea behind Mixvoip is born
    • Pascal Knebler and Loïc Didelot begin working on what would become Mixvoip, initially focusing on delivering SIP trunking services to businesses in Luxembourg.
  • May 2008 – Mixvoip SA is incorporated
    • Mixvoip SA. is officially incorporated under Luxembourg business number B138372. Early investors include ION Network Solutions Sarl, several friends and family members, and Corpoinvest Soparfi SA, a holding company created to consolidate the founders’ shares.
  • October 2008 – Launch of MixPBX, Mixvoip’s first phone system
    • Mixvoip expands its offering beyond SIP trunks by launching MixPBX, its first business phone system, built on the open-source Asterisk telephony framework. This allows customers to deploy full-featured PBX solutions that connect not only to SIP but also to traditional ISDN (BRI, PRI, E1) and analog lines.
  • May 2010 – Mixvoip adds internet connectivity in Luxembourg via Visual Online
    • Mixvoip expands its services by partnering with Visual Online, enabling business internet access alongside its telephony portfolio.
  • February 2011 – MixPBX becomes cloud-ready with multiple deployment options
    • Mixvoip’s in-house developed PBX solution, MixPBX, reaches a major milestone by becoming fully cloud-ready. From this point forward, it is available in three versions: on-premise with dedicated hardware, deployed in the customer’s own virtual environment, or fully hosted and managed in Mixvoip’s operated cloud infrastructure.
  • May 2011 – Mixvoip launches Skype bridge for incoming PSTN calls
    • Mixvoip launches a Skype bridge, enabling customers to receive incoming PSTN calls directly on their Skype clients.
  • May 2012 – Research collaboration on VoIP load optimization with University of Luxembourg
    • With support from Luxinnovation and the Ministry of the Economy, Mixvoip partners with the University of Luxembourg under the guidance of Professor Pascal Bouvry. The joint research focuses on predictive load analysis and dynamic optimization in VoIP systems to improve performance and reduce energy consumption through smarter resource allocation.
  • July 2013 – Mixvoip creates Pindo SA to launch patented call-routing technology
    • Mixvoip spins off Pindo SA, a new company built around a patented technology (WO2014202798) that enables smartphones to place outbound calls using a business’s fixed-line caller ID without relying on mobile data or VoIP (3G/Wi-Fi).
  • May 2015 – Mixvoip launches mobile services in Luxembourg via Tango network
    • Mixvoip enters the mobile market by offering business mobile subscriptions powered by the Tango network. The service includes national and EU voice, SMS, and data plans tailored to professional needs.
  • August 2015 – Launch of LuxPBX brand for the public sector
    • Mixvoip launches LuxPBX, a dedicated brand built on its MixPBX platform, to offer tailored telephony solutions and pricing for the public sector. The initiative supported through the former website luxpbx.com, targets municipalities, schools, and government entities in Luxembourg.
  • April 2016 – Mixvoip receives “Made in Luxembourg” label for MixPBX
    • Mixvoip is awarded the official “Made in Luxembourg” label for its in-house developed MixPBX solution, recognizing the product’s local innovation and engineering within the Grand Duchy.
  • February 2017 – Mixvoip announces its first IP addresses via BGP
    • Mixvoip begins advertising its own first IP range (185.173.180.0/22) through BGP, marking a major milestone in becoming a fully fledged internet service provider with independent network routing.
  • June 2017 – Mixvoip becomes seed investor in Moien News Media SA
    • Mixvoip invests as a seed-stage backer in Moien News Media SA, a Luxembourg-based startup with the goal of building an online news agency focused on content in the Luxembourgish language.
  • November 2017 – Mixvoip Srl is incorporated

  • September 2018 – Wagner Group acquires 35% stake in Mixvoip
    • Wagner Group, a Luxembourg-based industrial group founded in 1929, acquires a 35% stake in Mixvoip SA.
  • June 2018 – 10-year anniversary celebrated with Prime Minister Xavier Bettel
    • Mixvoip celebrates its 10th anniversary with a major event attended by over 500 guests. Luxembourg’s Prime Minister Xavier Bettel is present, delivers a speech, and joins the celebration underscoring the company’s national recognition and growth over its first decade.
  • August 2018 – Internet connectivity added in Belgium (reseller mode)
    • Mixvoip begins offering internet services in Belgium.
  • December 2018 – Over 2300 customers and €2.95M ARR
    • With 2,322 customers and €4.63M in revenue, Mixvoip sees its ARR climb to €2.95M.
  • January 2019 – Mixvoip acquires Voipgate SA
    • Mixvoip acquires Voipgate SA, a Luxembourg-based telecom operator established in 2005 and formerly owned by Datacenter Luxembourg.

  • January 2020 – Mixvoip acquires Pindo’s technology and exits the company
    • Pindo SA sells all its patents and source code to Mixvoip, transferring full ownership of its call-routing technology. Following the acquisition, Mixvoip exits its stake in Pindo SA, bringing the technology in-house for future integration and development.
  • February 2020 – Mixvoip launches mobile services in Belgium via BASE network
    • Mixvoip expands its telecom portfolio with business mobile services in Belgium, operating on the BASE network.
  • July 2020 – Deutsche Telekom network added for German wholesale connectivity

  • April 2021 – Proximus network added in Belgium
    • Mixvoip strengthens its Belgian coverage by onboarding the Proximus network, providing scalable business connectivity options.
  • April 2021 – Mixvoip launches 4G internet backup with automatic failover
    • Mixvoip introduces a 4G mobile data backup service that ensures uninterrupted connectivity during outages. The solution uses a standby 4G router that instantly takes over with the same IP address keeping calls, emails, and online activity running without disruption.
  • June 2021 – Mixvoip recognized among Luxembourg’s Best Workplaces™
    • Mixvoip is named one of the Best Workplaces in Luxembourg by Great Place to Work, ranking second in the medium-sized company category.
  • December 2021 – Datacenter Luxembourg acquires a 24.9% stake in Mixvoip
    • Datacenter Luxembourg becomes a strategic shareholder in Mixvoip by acquiring approximately 24.9% of the company. The stake is purchased from Wagner Group, which exits its position. ~10% is transferred to Mixvoip’s early investors.
  • December 2021 – ARR grows to €6.94M with 3888 customers
    • Mixvoip reports €9M in revenue and adds nearly 600 new customers. The public sector accounts for 6.26% of recurring revenues for the year.
  • December 2021 – 4th in Luxembourg with 3.6% market share in the fixed-line telephony market
    • According to ILR, Mixvoip ranks fourth in fixed-line telephony by call volume across both B2B and B2C markets, even though it serves only business customers.
  • February 2022 – MixPBX is rebranded as Voxbi
    • Mixvoip officially renames its PBX platform from MixPBX to Voxbi.
  • March 2022 – Eurofiber interconnection for high-speed and dark fiber in Belgium
    • Mixvoip connects with Eurofiber, expanding its network with high-capacity fiber and dark fiber solutions for enterprise clients.

  • October 2022 – Mixvoip adds Starlink connectivity to its internet portfolio

  • April 2023 – Voxbi integrates with Tetronik DAKS alarm and broadcast systems

  • July 2023 – Voxbi integrates with Tetronik and team earns DAKSeco certification

  • November 2023 – Mixvoip SAS is incorporated
