VoIP, which stands for Voice Over Internet Protocol, is a relatively modern technology for voice communications, invented in the late ’70s. Yet, it was not until the mid-’90s that it was introduced to the general public.

Provisioning communication services over the public Internet rather than a public switched telephone network (PSTN) avoids unnecessary expenditures and allows a high quality of voice – this is particularly true in an ever more globalized world.

Today VoIP is a set standard for high-quality business communications. For the last 25 years, it has changed enormously the way we connect, interact and communicate. And no doubt it has changed it for the better.
